TradeHub connects customers with local tradespeople. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights. We've written it to be read, not skimmed past.
The data controller is Rhys Davies, trading as TradeHub, Swansea, Wales — rhys@tradehub-uk.com. (When TradeHub incorporates, the company will become the controller and this policy will be updated.)

Where we rely on legitimate interests we've assessed that our use is proportionate and doesn't override your rights. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.
We use AI (provided by Anthropic) to help understand and structure the jobs you post — working out the trade, asking the right questions, flagging safety issues — and to help tradespeople draft quotes. AI supports human decisions rather than replacing them: a tradesperson reviews and is responsible for every quote they send, and you decide who to hire. We don't make decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects by solely automated means. Job text and photos are processed by Anthropic to provide these features and aren't used by Anthropic to train their models.
We share only what each provider needs, under contracts that protect your data. We never share your data with advertisers.
Some providers process data outside the UK — including Anthropic and Google in the United States. Where data leaves the UK for a country without UK "adequacy" status, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (issued by the Information Commissioner), and we assess each transfer, so your data gets an equivalent level of protection wherever it's processed.
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it (Settings → Delete account does most of this instantly), restrict or object to processing, and take your data elsewhere. Email rhys@tradehub-uk.com and we'll respond within a month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk — though we'd appreciate the chance to sort it first.
TradeHub is for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and accounts are for over-18s only.
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. The app contains no advertising or tracking SDKs.
If we make material changes to this policy we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
